A RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) directive is issued by European Union (EU) for the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
About RoHS directive conformity of our products, I-PEX judges it based on EU directive (2011/65/EU) about the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
In addition, thresholds apply values per homogeneous materials regulated by 2011/65/EU.

To reduce environmental hazardous substances, we can see an industry trend that halogenated flame retardants containing bromine and chlorine are to be replaced with halogen-free chemical substances.
I-PEX has been proactively developing connectors with halogen free flame retardants.
For the definition of Halogen-free, I-PEX applies and judges as "halogen-free" in accordance with IEC 61249-2-21.

Note: fluorine, iodine and astatine (other halogens) are not restricted in the industry definition of "halogen free".
