July 1963

Dai-ichi Seiko Co.,Ltd. was established for the purpose of specialized production of high precision molds and dies by means of modular mold-making method whereby the molds are fabricated with insert partition using hardened material through precision machining progress.

February 1964 Expanded factory and newly established Automated Machinery Dept. taking advantage of precision processing technology cultivated through mold manufacturing know-how.
November 1968 Initiated export business of precision molded plastic components to U.S.A., Canada, Mexico and Singapore.
December 1969 Purchased 26,400 sq.m. of land in Ogori, Fukuoka, Japan for new plants to prepare the expansion of business scale.


October 1971 Opened liaison office in Singapore for expansion of export business.
September 1972 Opened Tokyo Office for business expansion.
November 1973

New plant for mass production of molded plastic components was built at headquarters in Kyoto.

March 1976

Established our first subsidiary plant in Chikushino, Fukuoka, Japan (currently, Fukuoka Onojo Plant).

October 1976

Established the first mass-production plant in Fuchu, Tokyo, Japan.

January 1979 Established Singapore Dai-ichi Pte. Ltd. in Singapore.


May 1981

Opened Fukuoka Branch.

January 1982

Fukuoka Ogori Plant initiated operation.

January 1986

Established Yamanashi Plant in Yamanashi, Japan.

August 1987 The 2nd plant (Kallang Plant) in Singapore initiated operation.
November 1988

Established Philippine Dai-ichi, Inc. in Philippines.

June 1989

Established MDI Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia.


March 1991

Established Hitool(s) Pte. Ltd. (currently, Singapore Woodlands Plant) in Singapore.

Established Shanghai Dai-ichi Mould & Plastics Co., Ltd. in Shanghai, China.

May 1992

Established Cebu Dai-ichi, Inc. in Cebu, Philippines.

Fukuoka Tachiarai Plant initiated operation.

June 1993

A plant was built as new plant of Singapore Dai-ichi Pte. Ltd. in Yishun, Singapore, and initiated its operation.

Established Dai-ichi Seiko America, Inc. in San Jose, California, U.S.A.

Established Laguna Dai-ichi, Inc. in Laguna, Philippines.

May 1998 Opened Taiwan Office in Kaohsiung, Taiwan R.O.C.
January 1999 Opened Thai Office in Bangkok, Thailand.

Established Thai Dai-ichi Seiko Co., Ltd. in Chonburi, Thailand.

November 2000 Opened Malaysia Office in Ipoh, Malaysia.

Established Touchstone Precision, Inc. in Auburn, Alabama, U.S.A.

Established Pt. Pertama Precision Bintan in Bintan, Indonesia.

July 2001 Opened Shanghai Office in Shanghai, China.
March 2002 Established Hong Kong Dai-ichi Seiko Co., Ltd. in Hong Kong.
July 2004 Entered into a business merger with I-PEX Co., Ltd., known as an innovator of high speed transmission connectors.

Established Dong Guan Dai-ichi Seiko Mold & Plastics Co., Ltd. in Dongguan, China.

July 2005 Established DJ Precision Co., Ltd. as JV with Japan Aviation Electronics Industry Ltd.
October 2005 Opened Hachioji Technical Center (currently, Tokyo Machida Office) in Hachioji, Tokyo, Japan.
